London based Drupal Web DeveloperDrupal is a cloud app builder
I just read about Microsoft's plans for an operating-system for the cloud. Microsoft are up against the fact that the operating system is tending towards irrelevance. Linux? Windows? Mac? It doesn't really matter when everything runs in the browser (web-based SaaS).
Google design their browser (Chrome) to act more like an operating system. Microsoft respond by making their operating system more like a browser? What should business do?...
Google Chrome and Gears? Windows Cloud?
The correct response for business is to build highly accessible, standards-based web applications, and then not worry about any possible format wars.
Drupal is already in use on Amazon EC2 and is proving to be a robust platform for building web applications. Drupal surely could be the natural choice as the application builder for the Cloud?
P.S. Keep an eye on w3schools browser stats.
